Pahl Hluchan

Bio

Pahl Hluchan is the Area Coordinator of Animation and Illustration at the Delaware College of Art and Design where he teaches animation, video production, drawing, and painting; he lives in Wilmington, DE. Hluchan has been teaching art for the last decade and in that time has had numerous exhibitions of his fantastical and surrealist paintings. Hluchan's work has been described as containing "haunting images in the guise of children's tales," and it has been written that Hluchan "creates a world of weird creatures and human beings which operate in spaces that seem to be out of Bosch's Vision of Hell, and combines them with images of mundane suburban life." Pahl Hluchan is represented by Bellwether Gallery in Brooklyn, NY and The Delaware Art Museum in Wilmington, DE. He received his MFA in painting from Yale University.
